  2. What is Satram? A benevolent event, sponsored by many people, aiming to benefit the society at large, constitutes a Satram.

  3. Anna Vastra Daana Satram • Rice and Clothing (along with sweets) are distributed to needy families. • Jointly organized by Narayanashrama Tapovanam and Hind Navotthana Pratishtan. • More than 25000 families benefitted from AVDS in 2011. AVDS started in 1985

  4. Tokens are distributed in advance to recipients.

  5. Bed sheets and Sarees arrive a few days in advance.

  9. Daana • Daana purifies and sanctifies one’s wealth however meagre or huge it may be. • It preserves wealth by fostering generosity. It begets a blessing that passes on to the ensuing generations. • It is the giver who should feel grateful that there are people to receive his charity. Swamiji

  27. Anna Vastra Daana Satram 2012 30 Jun 2012 – 31 Aug 2012 From different village centres in Kerala, AVDS hopes to benefit 28,500 needy families.

Donations to Narayanashrama Tapovanam & Hind Navotthana Pratishtan are eligible for exemption under 80G of the Income Tax Act.
