  2. What Did The worm do? • It would make a registry entry so it would start up every time Windows started. It can make the Remote Procedure Call unstable. When infected, a buffer overflow makes the RPC fail and you get an error message.

  3. How long did it take to crack and how was it fixed? • It took 4 days to catch the virus August 11, 2003-August 15, 2003. Microsoft released a patch on July 16, 2003

  4. How Did you get the worm and how was it prevented? • It originally attacked windowsupdate.com and it spread to others. Then you got it form a buffer overflow. It can be prevented by using a firewall and virus software and by having Microsoft’s patch.
