Actions on GCI way forward

  2. The Way Forward – presented at ExCOM29 Launch new GEOSS Portal – End of Nov. For each SBA and special Initiative, GEO Secretariat technical experts and GCI team will assist Data Providers in the registration of data sets and services to enable discovery and access, particularly GEOSS DataCORE GCI team to develop Guidance for users and providers GEO Secretariat with GCI team to monitor and evaluate the accessibility of desired datasets in order to identify popular dataset ranking, gaps, usability, etc. Guidance for Community portals is being developed

UNEP, WMO, GBIF, EU(Copernicus), Japan(DIAS), etc • Need more precious evaluation and analysis on how the best brokering agreement with each providers (Eg. Metadata duplication with other providers, Service level, etc)
