Focus of Part 2 • Focus of CS in Metadata Registries: registering and using CSs to classify admin. items • Not standard for generic classification systems • Gives us more freedom to specify within our own context • Not all types of CSs are of interest to 11179??? • Leave it to the registrar (Registry target community) • meta structure of CS should be the thing that’s tailored to 11179 • Not meant as standard protocol for all registry features

Context of definition • Type of “scheme” which focuses of grouping • Scheme is any type of documentation addressing the 6 interrogatives • The “meta objects” in a CS are any of the objectified interrogatives • Type of “Concept System” • This extension does not conflict with Part 3 • Tie in to Terminology standards
