  12. What to Do When Spills Occur • Quickly stop the source of the spill. • Prevent the spill from leaving the facility. Cover drains or block doorways. • Absorb the spill using a reusable material such as a mop & bucket or launderable rags. • Put spill materials in appropriate waste container for recovery if feasible. • Material that can’t be recovered -- Store labeled, sealed containers prior to disposal.
