Income Security & Social Protection for Older People in Bangladesh

HelpAge International works to ensure income security and social protection for older people in Bangladesh, where the population aged 60+ is projected to reach 222 million by 2050. The organization advocates for policy changes, provides direct assistance to vulnerable older people, and builds capacity among key actors to develop and implement sustainable livelihoods and social protection strategies. This includes promoting universal social pensions as a means to alleviate poverty and improve intergenerational outcomes.
