  2. “TASA DE REINGRESO Y MORTALIDAD ANUAL EN PACIENTES PLURIPATOLÓGICOS INGRESADOS EN UNA UNIDAD DE CORTA ESTANCIA MÉDICA” INTRODUCCIÓN El paciente pluripatológico constituye una población emergente en nuestra práctica clínica diaria con una especial susceptibilidad y fragilidad clínica. Su comorbilidad, deterioro cognitivo y dependencia funcional condicionan un alto coste socio-sanitario y una importante sobrecarga asistencial hospitalaria. OBJETIVOS Comparar las características epidemiológicas y pronósticas de los pacientes ingresados en una unidad de corta estancia médica (UCEM) y establecer si existen diferencias en la tasa de reingresos y mortalidad anual de los pacientes pluripatológicos.

Se analizaron las variables epidemiológicas de los pacientes, los reingresos al mes y al año así como la mortalidad al año de seguimiento. RESULTADOS

  6. “TASA DE REINGRESO Y MORTALIDAD ANUAL EN PACIENTES PLURIPATOLÓGICOS INGRESADOS EN UNA UNIDAD DE CORTA ESTANCIA MÉDICA” CONCLUSIONES • La complejidad del paciente ingresado en una UCEM es elevada, cumpliendo uno de cada tres pacientes la definición de paciente pluripatológico. • No existen diferencias en la tasa de reingresos mensual ni en la tasa de reingresos anual entre los pacientes PP y los NP. Cumplir la definición de paciente pluripatológico no predice el riesgo de reingreso. • La mortalidad anual es mayor en los pacientes PP.
