  2. Health and Safety Executive (HSE) estimates that there are 1.2 million cases of ill health every year caused or made worse by WORK

  3. 91 Million working days a year are lost due to mental ill health

  4. The mental well-being of working adults in Singapore is 13% LOWER than the general population

  5. MORE than 1 in 10 people in Singapore will be stricken by mental illness in their lifetime

  6. Many are likely to face DEPRESSION which is the most common mental illnessIt is projected to affect 170,000 adults with more women affected than men

  7. Singapore has the highest rate for OCD, which hits 3% of populationThe figure for the United States is 2.3%while in Europe it is 1.1%

  8. Mental conditions cannot be treated Mental health professionals are well-equipped to provide treatment to patients with mental conditions. Medications and other forms of psychological treatment are very effective in treating depression.

  9. Mental illness only affect the weak and old Mental illness can affect anyone. All age groups are vulnerable to mental illness; most of the mental patients have their onset by their second or third decade of life. However, two in three do not seek help.
