  2. what where Jim Crow Laws • After the trials of Plessey Vs. Ferguson southern states pass laws that where made to repress blacks new freedom. these laws where know as the Jim Crow Laws.

  3. Restirtions • these laws took away blacks access to schools, restaurants, hospitals and other public places. • sings where put up that said whits only or colored. • these laws restricted all parts of blacks life.

  4. Education • many laws where passed to keep blacks from having a good education. • whites and blacks where not allowed to go to the same school/ class room, and could not use the same books. • blacks received poor guilty materials and black teachers where underpaid.

  5. Transportation • blacks had to use a separate ticket booth than whites, and even had to wait in anther room for their ride. • blacks where forced to sit in the back of the bus in their own “section”.

  6. how the south did it • the way the south got away with this was because they called it separate but equal. • In the 1960’s Jim crows laws where abolished.
