  3. Egypt and the Nile: The Gift of the Nile Egypt is located in the northern part of Africa. Egypt is dry and arid because the Sahara Desert crosses it. A major feature of Egypt is the Nile River. The Nile River gave off SILT until it formed the country of EGYPT. If the Nile was not there at all, EGYPT wouldn't be there. Without the Nile, Egypt would be a desert.

  4. Egypt and the Nile: Why is the Nile important Thanks to the Nile people had fresh water for drinking and bathing. The Nile supported transportation and trade. . It provided materials for building, for making cloth for clothes, and even for making paper - made from the wild papyrus weed

  5. The ancient Egyptians could grow crops only in the mud left behind when the Nile flooded. So they all had fields all along the River Nile The Nile also gave the ancient Egyptians food. They used spears and nets to catch fish.

  6. Now lets look back at the Questions to answer: Why is the Egypt consider the Gift from the Nile? Why was the Nile important to Egyptian Society? Now in your groups come up with a list of jobs that the Egyptians had just because of the Nile River.
