  1. InterLibrary Loan (ILL) Requesting Articles

  2. Article Delivery & Turnaround Time • Articles are scanned and delivered electronically • Turnaround is 24 hours or less if the citation is complete and the journal is held by one of the 70 libraries in our consortia, Rapid and GWLA • Incomplete citations require mediation and additional processing by OSU Library staff • A complete citation includes the ISSN

  3. Using InterLibrary Loan There are a couple of ways to submit an ILL request: • Type information into the form on the ILL website: http://osulibrary.oregonstate.edu/ill/ • Import a complete citation directly from a database to the ILL form. • Preferred for accuracy and speed

  4. Importing Citations • Go to the database that cites the article you need: MLA, for example. • Do a keyword search (a couple of words from article title and author’s last name should be enough)

  5. Importing Citations (2) 3. Find and click on “360 Link to Full Text” 4. Request

  6. Requesting the Article Next, logon to ILL The citation has been imported into the form--all you have to do is make sure it’s complete and submit it.

  7. InterLibrary Loan Request (2) You’ll get an email with a link to the article when it’s available. Click on the link and download the article. You can check the status of your article at any time by logging on to ILL (http://osulibrary.oregonstate.edu/ill/)
