  5. Works to Date Segment 1 – West • Construct Site Office • Clearing between Gaglardi and BC Hydro Sub-station • Clear and Grub for Gaglardi Compensation • Pacific Water Shrew and Amphibian Salvages throughout the segment • Installed Orange silt fence at ESA’s PMH1 – IAERC 2009-08-19

  6. Current Works Segment 1 – West • Constructing Test Channel in Willingdon Compensation • Fish window works • Sprott Culvert Installation • Salvage works • Pacific Water Shrew and Amphibian Salvage at Gaglardi Compensation PMH1 – IAERC 2009-08-19

  7. Current Works (con’t) • Salvages at North side of Hwy between Gaglardi and Kensington as well. • Salvages resulted in the capture of no SAR. Dusky Shrew and non-native amphibians were the only wildlife captured. • A fish salvage was conducted at Sprottand resulted in the capture of 3 Stickleback PMH1 – IAERC 2009-08-19

  8. Future Works Segment 1 – West • Construction of Gaglardi Compensation Channels • If geotech approves test Channel the Willingdon Compensation habitat will be constructed • Fish/ Amphibian Salvage at Kensington and then install culvert and move ditches PMH1 – IAERC 2009-08-19

  9. Future Works (con’t) • Surcharge will be installed from Gaglardi to BC Hydro Substation • Fill to be placed between BC Hydro Substation and Kensington Interchange • Sprott Bridge Demo to be initiated PMH1 – IAERC 2009-08-19

  11. Quality Segment 1 – West • Quality audits scheduled for September/October • No environmental issues identified for July • No reported incidents identified for July • No Non-Conformance Reports in July or August PMH1 – IAERC 2009-08-19

  12. Training Segment 1 – West • This month toolbox training included: DFO Authorization Compliance, Spill Response/Reporting and Contingency Planning • Upcoming training to include: Sediment and Erosion Controls and Environmental Risk Management PMH1 – IAERC 2009-08-19

Quality Segment 3 - Bridge • Segment 3 issues for July: • 1 Terrestrial Habitat issue • 1 Air Quality and Dust Control issue • 4 Fish Habitat issues • All issues were resolved and are now closed • Two reported incidents identified in Segment 3 • Hydraulic fluid spills to the ground less than 5L PMH1 – IAERC 2009-08-19
