  3. LET’S DISCUSS OUR MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE • 1. WE HAVE DRY, WARM SUMMERS. • 2. OUR WINTERS ARE WET AND COLD. • 3. THE DRIEST MONTHS ARE JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST. • 4. THE WETTEST MONTHS ARE OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, JANUARY AND FEBRUARY.

  4. P.M.I. - about a rainy day • Plus The air feels cooler and cleaner afterwards. The trees and plants look fresher. Young children have fun splashing in puddles.

  5. P.M.I. - about a rainy day • Minus • The storm often causes power failures. • Traffic is jammed and there are delays. • People get hurt in accidents as streets are flooded with rainwater.

  7. P.M.I. - about a rainy day • Interesting • Sailing a paper boat in the river of rain- water in the streets can be quite interesting.

  8. COMFORTING FOOD • After being drenched to the skin, there is nothing better than a cup of delicious, hot chocolate to comfort and cheer you up. Yummy!!

  12. Remember: THE IMPORTANCE OF USING DESCRIBING WORDS • A picture without colour • is not so interesting • A coloured picture • looks so much better

  13. DESCRIBING WHAT HAPPENED IN A SEQUENCE • Instead of repeating the word “then” we should use suitable words which show how things happened one after the other. • First….. Then….. Next…. Afterwards….. • As soon as ….Finally…..
