Fleet initiatives • C2F • MIW assessment for JTFEXes: GW, HST, ENT; TR (Aug 01) • Challenges: SOOT MIW operational experience, more realistic exercise scripting (intel, TCS, ROE) • Develop cross-JTFEX trends/lessons learned • Expand throughout IDTC, leveraging CCDG-2/ DESRON-26 IDTC initiatives; more focus on ARG • C3F • MIW assessments for JTFEX to begin with STE in Nov 01 • CNA serving as SOOT, facilitating more realistic scripting

Unclassified Mainstreaming/transition to organic MCM focus • Mainstreaming–independent of organic transition • Command structure; signature control/threat awareness • ISR, I&W, ROE, interdiction (land/sea, air/surface/subsurface), and mining given competing missions • Needs to span entire IDTC, not just JTFEX, and tie to certification process • Navy committed to deploy first organic MCM-capable CVBG in FY05 (actual systems available tbd) • As organic capabilities are realized • Mine reconnaissance, localization, neutralization, clearance, and avoidance given competing missions; command structure
