Sales Growth Team Charter Sales Growth Team CharterPurposeFollowing is a sample charter that you can customize to fit your organization.DefinitionThe Sales Growth Team (SGT) proactively develops Best Practices for achieving revenuegoals, and identifies weaknesses in the sales & marketing process. Members of the SGTare department leaders that will be appointed by the VP Sales & Marketing based on theirability to analyze, communicate, and solve department challenges.Following are the primary responsibilities for the SGT: 1. Provide leadership for Sales & Marketing by ensuring that high-level strategic initiatives are translated into operational goals, activities, and processes. Additionally, the SGT will develop an annual Sales & Marketing Growth Plan. 2. Develop new recruits and average performers into top performing Sales Representatives by providing coaching, sharing Best Practices, and understanding training limitations & knowledge gaps. 3. Ensure open communications between the Sales & Marketing departments and the senior level executives who are responsible for sales & marketing strategy. 4. Provide a forum for brainstorming new ideas and approaches that are designed to increase sales, relay customer feedback, and discuss proposed organizational changes that affect the sales & marketing departments.

Committee MembersMembers of the Sales Growth Team include:  Director of Sales  Director of Marketing  Director of Sales Support  Director of Customer Service  Senior Sales Representative(s)  Senior Marketing Representative(s)Mandate  The Sales Growth Team shall meet at least four times per year. Committee members are to attend all meetings, or provide a suitable representative.  The SGT shall convert the annual strategic plan (for the business) into a Sales & Marketing Growth Plan which will outline revenue goals, business objectives, and other strategic initiatives, which will be distributed to all department members.  To provide each sales & marketing staff member with the tools, resources, and knowledge required for improving productivity & performance of the department.  To analyze how top performers do their job, and share Best Practices with average performers and new recruits.  To remove any obstacles that are standing in the way of achieving revenue targets.  The SGT will ensure that all voices are heard by relaying feedback from junior staff, customers, and colleagues, to senior management for consideration.
