  9. We are Building $14 Million expansion project scheduled to begin this spring New Gym, Drama facility, and Academic Block Partnership with City of Kelowna for Neighbourhoods of Learning

  10. The Course Selection Process:Why is it so Important? Students select their courses Individual course requests are tallied The overall number of sections needed in each course are calculated (6 sections of English 9)

  11. The Course Selection Process:Why is it so Important? The master timetable is built based upon that number of sections for each course Students are loaded into course sections based upon the choices they make in February. Students wishing to change their choices at a later date may not be able to due to full classes.

  12. The Course Selection Process:Why is accuracy so Important? This means that … If you chose Foods in February and you decide in June that you would like to take Drafting you may not be able to because we staffed for the Foods class.

  13. Course Selection Sheet Most of our students will take En 9, but for some of our students who are reading and writing well below grade level, we offer En 9 Dynamics. This is an intensive skill building course designed to help students improve to grade level. Entry into Dynamics Eng 9 will be based upon recommendation of Eng 8 Teacher.

  14. Course Selection Sheet You may choose English 9 Honours if your average is 85% or greater. Enrollment in English 9 Honours will be finalized based on Teacher recommendation.

  15. Course Selection Sheet Most of our students will take Ma 9. You may choose Math 9 Honours if your average is 85% or greater. Enrollment in Math 9 Honours will be finalized based on Teacher recommendation. Math 10 is for those student who have completed Math 9 in Grade 8 (compacted math). Students who require additional support will be enrolled in Jump Math 9 in Semester 1 followed by Math 9 in Semester 2

  16. Course Selection Sheet Most of our students will take Sc 9. You may choose Science 9 Honours if your average is 85% or greater. Enrollment in Science 9 Honours will be finalized based on Teacher recommendation.

  18. Course Selection Sheet Every grade 9 student must take a PE course. For information on the athletic academies please come to the special programs information night Feb 6th at 6:00 pm.

  19. Course Selection Sheet Please make sure you choose two alternates in the event your first choice cannot be accommodated.

  20. Course Selection Sheet Most students will continue with French 9 as their first elective. Some BC universities require a second language 11 for entrance.
