Where will the tools be applied and refined? • Gratiot Pilot Corridor (Downtown Detroit to M-59) • SEMCOG is working with stakeholders to apply some tools along the corridor and segments along corridor • Working with stakeholders, concept level plans and vision strategies will be created for the corridor

(Gratiot Avenue - Downtown Detroit to M-59) • Is 23 miles long • Runs through two counties and five communities • About 110,000 people live within ½ mile of Gratiot • Daytime population is almost 140,000 • School age (5-17) population of 20,000 • Is accessed by three major highways

  13. Where is more detailed work being done? • Downtown Detroit – vicinity of 375 and Eastern Market • Eight Mile and Gratiot • Roseville • Gratiot and 15 Mile Road area • Downtown Mt. Clemens area

  14. What are Building Footprints? • New Tool being introduced by SEMCOG • Depicts building type, location, and square footage • Has a great deal of applicability for corridor analysis and planning.
