  2. Topic Background The major part of our diet is comprised of vegetables and fruits. The various plants also contribute to adding taste to our food. Vegetables, fruits and other plants obtained from the soil differ in their form, color and taste. They are also unique in their properties. These different properties affect their users both in a positive and negative way. This exercise will be beneficial in getting students acquainted with these properties.

  3. Theory Vegetables and fruits grown in summer and winter differ in form and taste. They are naturally potent in combating the intensity of the season. In extreme hot weather, watermelon and falsa give cooling freshness to their users. While in cold weather, dry fruits play a major part to protect human bodies from the adverse effects of cold.

  4. Effects If taught diligently, this topic will produce positive and long-lasting results. Children are naturally prone to eating. They take great interest in learning about food properties and their effects. Therefore, they will learn it quickly. They will be reminded of these properties whenever they see these vegetables and fruits.

  5. Conclusion Our diet is based on what we obtain from the soil. This food is presented in different manners. Vegetables, fruits and other plants are important to know about them. They have their effects on human bodies. Otherwise, knowing only their taste may result in bad consequences as well.

  9. Long Term Goal A variety of food feeds us round the year. We like some while other we don’t. A better familiarity with the properties of this food enables children to use them in a careful and prudent manner. This knowing will benefit them throughout their lives.

  10. Short Term Goal Working on promoting cognitive skills with students will create innovative ideas. Focus will be made on enhancement of information related to the given topic. Teaching skills and process to arrive an answer will remain in focus.

  11. Instructional Strategies and Tasks I will provide more opportunities for students to answer questions requiring cognitive skills. I will provide students with time for group discussion about eatable items in various seasons
