  1. Debra Purcell-Regis Retired Teacher Debra Purcell-Regis is a retired high school teacher from Old Brookville, New York. During her 25 years as an educator, Debra taught mainly Advanced Placement U.S. History and English Literature for Juniors; however, Debra started her career as a middle school Language Arts teacher. Debra was recognized as one of the most well liked teachers in her district and she often took a personal interest in meeting her students and nurturing them to succeed.

  2. Debra Purcell-Regis Volunteer Debra Purcell-Regis is an active community member in local Old Brookville organizations such as the YMCA and Opportunity Impact. In both organizations, Debra volunteers as an after school tutor for children ages 8 - 12. Debra understands the significant importance in providing guidance, compassion and education for children who come from low income backgrounds or less stable home situations.

  3. Debra Purcell-Regis Mother As a mother of two, Debra Purcell-Regis shared many happy memories with her children. Her youngest son, Ryan graduated from high school the same year she retired. Ryan is now an English Student at U.C. Santa Cruz and visits his parents in between semesters. Her eldest son, Alex is going to grad school working towards a Masters Degree in International Business and Entrepreneurship at NYU.

Debra Purcell-Regis Education Reform Activist With her children at University and an empty nest at home, Debra Purcell-Regis spends most of her time supporting Education Reform Now as a member of the New York chapter and supporter in her local community. Debra’s work with Education Reform Now has raised thousands of dollars from parents and other supporters in the Old Brookville school districts.
