  4. This business plan uses the following assumption: • The plantation uses the cassava variety “Huay Bong 80” from Thailand. The yield of this variety is between 40 to 50 MT/hectare. However, for this business plan, we use the average yield of 40 MT of fresh cassava root per season per hectare. • The fresh cassava root selling price is 80 USD/MT. The current market price is between 80 and 90 USD/MT. • The startup capital is 500,000 USD.

  6. Main revenue The main revenue will come from the sale of fresh cassava root to local processing plant.

  9. 4.1. Water sources Ponds We will improve the existing pond to be able to keep the rainfall water for the need of the farm.

  10. Natural pond Well At the processing site, Staffs and workers will need water. We plan to dig 2 wells. The cost for each well is 1,000 USD so we budget 2,000 USD for the wells.

  13. The cassava plantation is lead by a Farm Manager with at least 5 years professional experiences in the cassava cultivation. The plantation have the following equipment: • tractors • motorbikes • small truck of 1 Ton. The small truck can also be used to transport seasonal workers. • Sprayers and agriculture tools.
