  2. Technology Behind SUGAR4 SUGAR4 is an application created using Microsoft Access. Access is the most widely used desktop database system. Access is part of the Microsoft Office Suite, the best that Microsoft has to offer. The Microsoft Office Suite is used by 95% of the largest corporations in the world. Microsoft Access was created using the Visual Basic development system. This is the same system used to create Microsoft Windows. Access is just as functional as Windows and just as reliable.

  3. Knowledge and Experience The first version of the SUGAR4 system was released in 1996. Since then, a lot of time and effort has gone into its development. The latest version for sugar farming, SUGAR4 R6, was developed after 8 years of research and development. The knowledge and experiences of several people and organizations have been gathered to make SUGAR4 ideal for the sugar industry of Negros. • 12 years involvement in the management of a sugar mill. • Planters’ experiences with sugar farming. • Feedback and suggestions from SUGAR4 users. • Scientific data from the La Granja Research Center. • Farm management practices from OPSI.

  4. ASSOCIATIONS PLANTERS SRA SUGAR MILLS Exposure to the Sugar Industry SUGAR4 was designed to be used as a sugar farm management software. But there are also modules designed to be used by sugar mills and associations. Home Resources is also working with SRA to develop a software application to help regulate the entire sugar industry. All these modules support one another and ensure that SUGAR4 follows all the industry standards.
