  1. Everyone Has A Price ! What Is Yours ?

  2. Matt 16:25-27 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. • 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? • 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

  3. What Is Your Price ? • Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

  4. What would cause you shame? • Matt 13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. • Matt 18:7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

  5. What do I desire ? • Prov 23:6-9 Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats: 7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. • 8 The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words. • 9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

  6. Paul knew how hard it can be! • Rom 7:13-14 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

  7. Paul knew how hard it can be! • Rom 7:15-20 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. • 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. • 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. • 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me

  8. Our desires can turn on us ! • Ezek 24:21 Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.

  9. Our desires can turn on us ! • Ezek 24:24-26 Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that he hath done shall ye do: and when this cometh, ye shall know that I am the Lord God. 25 Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters, • 26 That he that escapeth in that day shall come unto thee,

  10. Evil desires can cost you much ! • James 4:1-4 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. • 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. • 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

  11. Paul tells the Corinthians ! • 2 Cor 6:16-18 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. • 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, • 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

  12. The correct desire ! • Col 1:9-10 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; • 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

  13. The correct desire ! • Heb 6:10-12 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end. 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

  14. The desire that gets us to heaven ! • Heb 11:14-16 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. • 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. • 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
