Get your service key After purchasing of QB Payroll service, Intuit emails your service key on your registered mail id. You need to enter the service key in QuickBooks Desktop to activate the service. If you don't have your service key, then in this condition use our Automated Service Key/Disk Delivery Key Tool. For this log in your Intuit Account. The automated tool may not work if:    Your company file has multiple payroll orders in our system If you purchased your payroll product from a retail store If business phone number you provided did not match our records Enter the service key in QuickBooks Desktop To enter the service key in QuickBooks Desktop: 1.From the Employees menu, select Payroll, and select Enter Service Key. 2.If you have an existing payroll subscription, you are prompted to specify if you want to add this file to your payroll subscription. Select Skip to go to the Service Key window, or Add File to add this file to an existing Payroll subscription. 3.Select Add. 4.Enter the service key, and select Next.
