  1. THE ARTICLES • An article is a word that combines with a noun to indicate the type of reference being made by the noun. Articles specify the grammatical definiteness of the noun, in some linguales extending to volume or numerical scope

  2. ARTICLE DEFINITY (THE) English has a single form of definite article: the man, man, the girls, girls. Designates a specific person or thing. In that sense, the importance of rule is crucial because their presence depends on the speaker's knowledge of the object or person you are talking about • This article does not contract with any preposition

  3. The door of the hall (la puerta del vestíbulo) The mother of the boyfriend

  4. Omitted: -uncountable nouns when referring to a substance or a general idea: -I like film ( me gustan las películas ) -Before plural : Boys like to play soccer ( a los muchachos les gusta jugar futbol)

  5. -without the article nor the names of the stations, languages, festivals taken in a general sense and sports -I like autumn (me gusta el otoño) -In front of names of substances, colors and languages -iron is hard (el hierro es duro)

  6. Article indefinity (a-an) • It is invariable in gender and number. This means that both served the same way for males to females • A boy Black (un chico negro) • A girl very beautiful (una chica muy bonita )

  7. -It used before words beginning with a consonant, aspirated by h, or u, eu, ew when pronounced / ju: /, and before words that begin or when they decide or -A chair (una silla) -A useful thing (una cosa útil)
