  2. Binary system • The binary system is the language that the computer uses to process • information. The binary system has only two numbers (1 and 2) on and off.

  3. Motherboard • Is the heart of the computer. Every other component of the computers • is attached to it. The components use it to communicate and work to each other • through it. Themotherboard has slots to attach the components.

  4. Microprocessor • This is the brain of the computer, it’s also refer as the • processor or the chip. The processor communicates with the other • components and does all the thinking. The processor performs • mathematical calculations and the software that people use • translates its calculations into useful functions to us. • (Intel, AMD)

  5. RAM • Stores information temporally. RAM store files that the • processor is currently using.

  6. Graphics Card • Convert information that we don´t not understand into • the images and text that we can see in our monitor. Some new graphic cards • incorporate some memory to improve the performance. • ( NVIDIA Corporation, ATI Technologies, Matrox)

  7. Sound Card • The sound card makes possible that we can hearthe sound • that comes from our computer.

  8. Power supply • It supplies power to the components. It is located at the top of • the computer case- The power supply has a fan to keep itself and • the computer cool.

  9. Hard disc • The hard disk stores information permanently. The information • is stored stores in the hard disk and the computer access them • as they are needed. When the computer access the hard drive its • moving and reading information into the RAM memory, however • the original information is still in the hard disk. • (Seagate, Western Digital, Hitachi)
