  2. Proteins • We need protein to build our muscles. • Even our hair and nails need protein. • We get protein from meat, poultry, eggs, cheese, and beans.

  3. Fats • We all need some fat in our diet for energy. • Some fats are not good for us, like fried foods. • Only 10% of our diet should come from fat.

  4. Carbohydrates • Carbohydrates give our bodies energy. • Carbohydrates break down into sugars in our body. • Too many carbohydrates in our daily diet can turn into fat.
