  2. Four Stages of Making a Presentation 1. Determine the purpose Your purpose for this presentation is to introduce and describe your blog project.

  3. 2. Analyze Your Audience Your audience for this presentation is comprised of classmates who have completed the same assignment.

  4. 3. Gather Information Gather all of the items you need for your presentation.

  5. 4. Structure the Presentation Like most composition assignments, most presentations have a structure that includes: • Introduction • Body • Closing

  6. Practice Your Presentation • Practice the presentation before you come to class. • Consider printing out your slides to edit them before the presentation.

  7. Great News! If you have completed your blog assignment, you will have “gathered” the necessary information for this presentation

  8. Requirements for the Blog Presentation Seven Powerpoint slides • A title slide: Identify the name of your blog and try to include a graphic from the blog; the banner image would be appropriate. (Do not simply open your blog.) • A second slide with your blog image/photo and bio • A third slide with the Mission Statement of your blog; summarize or usethe complete mission statement from the blog • A fourth slide that summarizes a typical single post • A fifth slide that summarizes your blog series • A sixth slide summarizing the post you made on your peer’s blog • A seventh slide concluding your presentation
