  1. How to Build a Life Matthew 7:24-29

  2. 1 Corinthians 3:10-11 • According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, & another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. 11 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

  3. Building Site • Consider the site’s --- past • Solomon (Eccl 2:9-11), Ahab (1 Kings 21), Saul of Tarsus (Phil 3:4-8)

  4. Building Site • Consider the site’s --- future • Its future will be like its past (Eccl 12:13-14; 1 John 2:15-17; Jas 1:14-15).

  5. Building Site • The easiest site to build on --- is not the best site to build on. • A Christian’s calling is not an easy one (Matt 7:13-14; Luke 14:27; Matt 16:24; Gal 6:14; Rom 6:6).

  6. Building Site • The most attractive site to build on --- is not the best site to build on. • People want a church (a religion) that has attractive qualities.

  7. Building Site • We can choose the right site to build on --- and still build a house that will fall. • The Lord’s teachings must be heeded or faith will fail during trial and temptation.

  8. Build on a solid foundation.
