  1. ATEIS Middle East

  2. ATEÏS in Brief • Part of the UK based PCI Corporation • Turn over of 100 Million US Dollars • Offices / Manufacturing facilities across USA, UK, Germany, France, Switzerland,, Taiwan, China and Dubai • Manufacturing both Audio Technologies and Speakers • Latest innovation products • The first Pro-audio system than comply to BS5839 part 8 and EN60849 standards and requirements. • Over 35 years in the line of Audio Technology

  3. ATEÏS in short ATEÏS is developing and manufacturing audio products since 1980 In 1995 ATEÏS developed its first PC based PA matrix system In 2001 ATEÏS presented its first security (EN60849) PA/VA system In 2004, creation of ATEïS International and Development team ATEÏS World Wide USA UK Middle East Germany Taiwan China Product Marketing and Technical Support ATEÏS FRANCE 1) Grenoble 2) Paris Product Development and Manufacturing Marketing, Sales, Technical support for France and French Speaking Countries ATEÏS INTERNATIONAL SA Goumoens-La-Ville Switzerland Head Offices

  4. ATEÏS a few references Paris Orly airport Lyon Satolas airport Basel airport Agadir airport Train stations : Lyon, Marseille, Monaco Subway : Paris RATP renewal Bruxells WTC Paris Stade Rolland Garos Futuroscope de Poitier Shopping Mall Roanne

  5. ATEÏS Local References Some of Land Marks in Dubai, in less than one year of ATEÏS Middle East Operation

  6. What does ATEÏS product comply with? • BS 5839 part 8: Code of Practice for the design, installation and servicing of voice alarm systems • EN60849: International Standards Sound Systems for Emergency Purposes

  7. Why dB • It enables us to use a comparatively small range of numbers to express large and often unwieldy quantities. • The decibel also makes sense from a psychoacoustical point of view in that it relates directly to the effect of most sensory stimuli. • dB=1/10 Bell • Bell=Log(P1/P0) and always P0 =1W • Hence dB=10Log(P1/P0) • SPL=20log(P1/P0)

  8. Why dB • Every double the power shall double the dB level

  9. dBA or dBB or dbC • The dB is measured with relative to the frequency of response to three weights A,B and C • The A-weighted measures with flat response from 600-7KHz • The C-Weighted measures with flat response from 70-4KHz • The B-weighted measures with a flat response 300-4KHz • The A-Weighted respond to the most frequencies heard by the human, hence all measurements must be attended to A-Weighted.

  10. SPL losses at double the distance • It comes from the Inverse Square Relationship • As seen below, the area of the 1m sphere is 4 times less than 2m at point B • Hence dB power level=10Log(4/1)=6dB=10Log²(2)=20Log2 • Hence the Inverse rule Loss in dB=20Log Distance

  11. Examples • RCS8FTS sensitivity is 94dB, what is the SPL at distance of 30m? • Losses=20Log30=29.54dB • Total SPL=94dB-29.54dB=64.45 • If the Sensitivity at 1W/1m is 94dB, what is the SPL at 10Watt? • Total SPL=Sensitivity + 10Log(P1/P0)=104dB
