Mission Philadelphia’s public and private organizations and individuals work together to ensure the City’s out- of- school adults are prepared for post-secondary learning, employment, and active citizenship.

  5. What brought you to today’s meeting? What do you hope to get out of being a part of the Alliance?

GOALS • Develop a structure for the governance of the Alliance • Develop bylaws which provide structure and governance for the Alliance and its Advisory Board • Identify a structure for how the Advisory Board will operate and interact with the Alliance and the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy • Outline a transition process to support potential future changes to Alliance legal structure

  8. Deliverables • Organization chart for Advisory Board • Bylaws for the Alliance (including for Advisory Board) • Transition contingencies for alternative Alliance structures

  11. GOALS Define the requirements and benefits of membership in the Alliance

  12. Deliverables • Application form • Marketing materials and ancillary materials, to promote membership and membership retention • Review process for membership applications

  14. Programs/Alliance Engagement

  15. GOALS Develop a strategy to identify the needs of Alliance members Developing an infrastructure to meet those needs Develop a strategy/structure for the Alliance to identify/review pre-existing resources to meet programmatic needs and identifying gaps to be filled

Deliverables • Needs assessment to identify programmatic needs of Alliance members • Strategy for delivering this assessment annually • Strategy for the compilation and review of resources currently available and intended audience • Evaluation template that can be modified for all professional development sessions • Draft schedule of programmatic activities that can be replicated
