Current position • Nothing new – all organisations use criteria • Often common view • Language used and definitions can differ • Policy direction encouraging community health and wellbeing, increased collaboration in health and social care and wider focus for Acute service • partnerships require shared understanding of local accounts/quality frameworks

  4. Examples of existing criteria • National Policy & Policy set out in letter • Operating Framework • QIPP/Use of Resources • DCC & PCT commissioning priorities • NHS Trust and provider priorities • Role of joint commissioning • Emerging GP consortia • County wide/locality focus

  5. Table discussion • Consider the range of criteria used – see table examples • Establish a shared understanding of the criteria • Identify the top 4 shared criteria for your locality table • Identify any other recommended criteria • Feedback your view
