  3. Check-In…What is Summer Bridge? • A an enrichment camp for rising 6th graders located at Concord Middle School • Students will engage in a variety of inquiry-based activities around STEM related topics • Students will engage in middle school transition activities

  4. Check-In…Why is Summer Bridge Important? In table Groups… • Introductions: • name, current school, current position and Summer Bridge Position • Participants will • Read pre and post qualitative student feedback • Note on chart paper: • ! Day 1…Just Like the First Day of School • Greet students as they exit the bus or car • Students will have name tags • Post Classroom Sign • Establish rules and procedures • Build a Classroom Culture • Make sure students have breakfast and lunch • Make sure students know how they are getting home

Daily Schedule June 24th - June 27th Student Day7:45-3:00 • Breakfast, Lunch and Recess for 30 minutes • School Tours 25 minutes • EiE Kits 4 hours and 20 minutes • Guidance lessons 1 hour • 1 on 1 sessions and/or small sessions during EiE instructional blocks Staff Day 7:30-3:15 • 1 hour and 15 minute planning • 30 minute lunch with students • Supervise breakfast/arrival, lunch, recess and dismissal • AM Arrival: Staff assigned to Breakfast, Bus or Car Rider Duty

  9. Summer Planning Day • Choose one day June 17th, 18th or 19th to plan and organize lessons/materials with your team • Paid for 7.5 hours • Clock In/Clock Out! • Reminder phone call to families Clocking in/out name options

Review Master Schedule • Look at Teacher Groups and Counselor assignments first • Review schedule, keep in mind: • Guidance Lessons during EiE blocks • Counselors rotate to classrooms • Need large instructional time for EiE kits • AM Duty (Assign Staff) • Breakfast Duty: need staff available to monitor students and complete café responsibilities • Bus Duty • Car Rider Duty • Hallway • Lunch: teachers will eat in the café with students • Lunch times needs to remain the same • Café Responsibilities • Breakfast and Lunch: Counselors or teachers will need to complete café responsibilities: • Completion of daily Meal Delivery Ticket and Daily Meal Count
