The Council for Civil Control of Police • The Council consists of five members, of whom one shall be appointed by the: - Bar Association of Montenegro, - Montenegrin Medical Chamber, - Association of Lawyers of Montenegro, - University of Montenegro and - non-governmental organizations engaged with human rights. The Council for Civil Control of PoliceThe Independent Police Oversight Review • In previous cases complaints were requested in: • -in 9 cases in order to check the use of police powers, • - in 10 cases it is indicated that the police powers were exceeded, • - 5 cases indicate the existence of injuries, • -in 6 cases there are the alleged violation of other fundamental rights and freedoms by the police and • - 7 cases are related to initiatives that enhance the use of police powers and improve police practice.
