  11. God of the Bible (GOB)andAllah of the Qur’an (AOQ) 4. God and Allah as Ruler of the universe: • They exercise their dominion differently. GOB is consistent in righteousness –Num19:1-2; Ex 19:6; Ps 119:142, 160; Mt 5:48; 1 Pet 1:15-16. • GOB is consistent in His faithfulness to His promises (Gen 17:7; Ex 34:6; Deut 7:9; Ps 36:5; 89:33; 100:5; 2 Tim 2:13; Heb 13:20); Continues …

  12. God of the Bible (GOB)andAllah of the Qur’an (AOQ) … Ruler … Continues … • His Self-revelations (Isa 40:8; Mt 24:35; Luke 21:33). • Allah is not consistent at all, does as he pleases, leading people in the right way or leading them astray. • AOQ is not consistent at all, he claims in Sura 3:54 and 8:30, to be “khyar al Makreen”. Word makreen is plural of word Makara. Continues …

Allah is thus seen as the best of deceivers, … Continues …

  15. God of the Bible (GOB)andAllah of the Qur’an (AOQ) … Ruler … Continues … • … the premier schemer and the conniving one. There is a list of over 30 passages of the Qur’an where Allah claims that he sends people astray or in error whomsoever he wills [3]. • [3] Sarfraz Ahmed Siddiqui. Selected Teaching of the Qur’an. Unpublished document. Continues …

  16. God of the Bible (GOB)andAllah of the Qur’an (AOQ) … Ruler … Continues … • AOQ is not consistent. To live under Allah’s rule for the Muslim means submission as a slave to the will of Allah –the Shariah law. • To live under the Christian God’s rule, i.e. in the kingdom of God, means living under the Lordship of Christ, through whom God’s rule was revealed in time and space. To day His people fellowship with Him in His kingdom as His Children.

  17. God of the Bible (GOB)andAllah of the Qur’an (AOQ) 5. God and Allah’s Relationship to Humankind: • God’s relationship is that of a Father with His children. The God of the Bible loves all people, He wants to accept all people, both sinners and saints, as His sons and daughters through the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:12). • The LORD has promised to be with His people in all places (Genesis 28:15; Mt. 28:18-20); Continues …

  18. God of the Bible (GOB)andAllah of the Qur’an (AOQ) … Relationship … Continues … • He is near to them who call upon Him Psalm 145:18); • He watches over them through the whole of their lives, that is their coming in and going out (Psalm 145:18; 121:8); • He is with them in the thick and thin of the life (Isaiah 43:2; 54:10); • He dwells among His people (Zech 2:10); Continues …

  19. God of the Bible (GOB)andAllah of the Qur’an (AOQ) … Relationship … Continues … • He never forgets His people, rather he has engraved their faces on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:15-16); • Even the very hairs of their head are all numbered by Him (Matthew 10:30); • In effect the LORD says: who ever touches His people, touches the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8). • The God of the Bible promised to be with His people always. The LORD promised to dwell with the Children of Israel, Exodus 29:45-46. Continues …

  20. God of the Bible (GOB)andAllah of the Qur’an (AOQ) … Relationship … Continues … • He was with the Israelites in the form of a Pillar of Cloud during the day and in the form of a Pillar of Fire at night, Exodus 13:21. • He was with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fiery furnace, • Daniel 3:25-26. • Now he is with His people and lives in them there of as the Holy Spirit, 1 Cor. 3:16.Continues …

  21. God of the Bible (GOB)andAllah of the Qur’an (AOQ) … Relationship … Continues … • Jesus calls His people, who obey Him and His Father, not servants but friends even mothers, brothers and sisters (John 15:15; Matthew 12:47-50; Luke 8:20-21; Hebrews 2:11). • Many times Christians are called children of God and sons of God (Rom 8:14; 9:26; Gal 4:7; Phil 2:15). On other hand Allah’s love of very different: • Allah’s relationship with Muslims is not that of a father but of a taskmaster with his slaves. He claims in dozens of Suras in the Qur’an that all people come to him as slaves (Sura 9:92-93; 2:90; 3:79; 5:118; 6:18, 61; 7:194; 8:51 the list goes on and on …

  22. God of the Bible (GOB)andAllah of the Qur’an (AOQ) The Qur’an speaks of Allah loving those who love Him, but not the infidels or corrupters. (Sura 3:31-32; 5:64. One of His names is Al-Wadud, “the Loving” (Sura 11:90), but it refers to his general concern for creation, what Christians might call common grace, not a personal and sustaining love which seeks the redemption of humanity.

  23. God of the Bible andAllah of the Qur’an 6. God’s attitude to unbelievers: • Live in peace with all men (see-Heb 12:14) • Love your enemies (see -Mt. 5:43-44) • Obey the governing authorities (see -Rom. 13:1-4). • Do good to all … Gal 6:10

  24. God of the Bible andAllah of the Qur’an 6. Allah’s attitude to unbelievers: • Muslims are commanded by Allah not to befriend non-Muslims (Sura 4:144; 5:51; 5:80; 9:23; 58:14-15; 60:1; 9:120). -Saudi Arabia • 9:23 O you who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoever of you takes them for friends, such are wrong-doers.

  25. God of the Bible andAllah of the Qur’an 6. Allah’s attitude to unbelievers: • 9:120 … neither thirst nor toil nor hunger afflicts them in the way of Allah, nor step they any step that angers the disbelievers, nor gain they from the enemy a gain, but a good deed is recorded for them therefor. Lo! Allah loses not the wages of the good.

  26. God of the Bible andAllah of the Qur’an 6. Allah’s attitude to unbelievers: • 4:94 O you who believe! When you go forth (to fight) in the way of Allah, be careful to discriminate, and say not unto one who offers you peace: "You are not a believer," seeking the chance profits of this life (so that you may despoil him). With Allah are plenteous spoils. Even thus (as he now is) were you before; but Allah has since then been gracious unto you. Therefore take care to discriminate. Allah is ever Informed of what you do. • No other religion will be excepted but only Islam is acceptable to Allah (see -Sura 3:85) • Islam is the best religion (see - Sura 4:125) • Muslims are the best of all (see -Sura 3:110).

  27. God of the Bible andAllah of the Qur’an • The only exceptions for Muslims to have friendship with non-Muslims are the following: a. Dissimulations, if they fear any harm from them, Sura 3:28. b. If the unbelievers leave their home for Muslims Sura 4:89 c. If they became Muslims Sura 9:5, 29.

  28. God of the Bible and Allah of the Qur’an • Moreover Allah commands all Muslims to obey not the unbelievers:Sura 25:52; • So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them … [Al-Hilali. The Noble Qur’an. Al-Madina. 1994.] Sura 26:151; • And follow not the command of Al-Musrifun [i.e. their chiefs, leaders who were polytheists, …]. [Al-Hilali. The Noble Qur’an. Al-Madina. 1994.] Sura 33:1;

  29. God of the Bible andAllah of the Qur’an 7. God and Allah and Historical Truth • There are factual differences between the Qur’an and the Bible such as: • Mary was the sister of Aaron (Sura 19:28) and daughter of Amram [Amram, = Aman, father of Aaran and Moses]. Amram’s wife fell pregnant and gave birth to Mary, the Mother of Jesus (Sura 3:35-36, 45-47). • The Trinity in Christianity is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, but Allah say the Trinity includes Mary, mother of Jesus in the Godhead. (Sura 5:116). Continues …

  30. God of the Bible andAllah of the Qur’an … Historical truth … Continues • Denial of the Crucifixion and Death of the Lord Jesus Christ, Sura 4:157. • Hamman lived in Persia, Modern day Iran in the days of a king Xerxes hundreds of years after the days of Moses but Allah says … (Sura 28:38). • The Army of Gideon is said to be the army of the king Saul, Sura 2:248-250.
