  1. Excel spreadsheets How to enter data into Excel 2007

  2. Open up a Microsoft office 2007 Excel spreadsheet from the start button

  3. Each little square is called a cell. Click on a cell to enter some text

  4. In another cell next to your word, add some numbers. On the same horizontal line in another cell, add some more numbers

  5. Click on a cell next to your last button. Then click on the AutoSum button located on the toolbar. This symbol will automatically add your two numbers together that you have entered into your two cells

  6. The AutoSum in my example has selected cells H3:I3. I will then need to change the last letter and number I and 3 by backspacing and adding the letter and number E and 3 Before backspacing I and 3, left click on your mouse to get rid of black highlighted section.

  7. Once E and 3 have been typed into the AutoSum cell, press enter. The numbers have been automatically added up. This will be needed for your budget workings.

  8. These workings can be also made by typing in numbers vertically under each other

  9. To take away two numbers in different cells, you need to type in = E7-G7 (my example) then press enter.

  10. These workings can be done for times (*), division (/), plus (+) and subtraction (-)

  11. Have a play with Excel first before starting your budget. There are many other applications to Excel on the toolbar, find them out for yourself or/and blog me in wikispaces if needed.
