  11. Double Trouble • Few weeks after the war began, both men team up as allies to capture American western fronts • Not one bullet was fired, Americans surrendered • How many people do you suppose died?

  12. Detroit • 400 British soldiers (100 regulars & 300 militia) and 600 First Nations warriors VS. 2500 American soldiers • Who do you suppose wins at Fort Detroit? • Ruses: scarlet uniforms, individual cooking fires, soldiers marching around in and out, battle cries

  13. Victory • General Hull ran up the white flag (surrender) • Victory resulted in 33 guns, 2500 muskets, and many supplies needed for Canadian defense

  14. Homework • Imagine you are a British general or American colonel and have just been notified that war has been officially declared. Write a blog entry expressing your feelings towards the war. • Who is at fault? Who will win (using evidence)? Emotions (include adjectives to describe how you are feeling). Journal Entry Form (3-4 paragraphs) • Due by Wednesday Night
