Why Implement STEM? • We want our students to be better prepared in math and science. • We want our students to be able to inquire, think, investigate, and innovate. • We want our students to learn to work productively in teams. • We want to prepare our students for successful careers in a 21st century workforce.

  3. CCR K-8 STEM ACADEMY 3-Year Implementation Plan

  4. STEM Academy – School Wide Project Ideas Outdoor Gardens Desert Animal Habitat Outdoor Science Lab Weather Bug Station

  5. 3. I am in support of CCR K-8 School transitioning to become “CCR K-8 STEM ACADEMY”. This response represents 511 students at CCR.

  6. 5. I understand that if CCR K-8 becomes a STEM CERTIFIED SCHOOL there will be a “3-Year Integration Plan” in order to obtain certification, train staff, and obtain the necessary curriculum materials across multiple core subject areas. I am excited about this opportunity for my child and support this positive initiative at CCR.

  7. Part II: STUDENT UNIFORM SURVEY QUESTIONS #6-11 6. I am willing to support CCR K-8's Uniform Proposal Guidelines for the upcoming 2015-2016 school year.

  8. 8. If CCR K-8 School Uniforms are approved by the F.U.S.D. Board of Education on May 15th, I will have enough time to plan and purchase the required clothes for my child/children by the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year.

  9. 9. If CCR K-8 becomes a student uniform school, this would be a major financial hardship for my family.
