  4. The First Affirmative Case/ Constructive • 1AC • Inherency • Current issues: reason why the PLAN IS necessary • Plan • What you are going to do about the issue (inherency) • Harms • Harms of Not doing the plan • Solvency • How the plan solves the issue (inherency)

  5. The First Negative Case/Constructive • 1NC • Responses/ Answers • Refutation or Answers to the affirmative case • Disadvantages • Disadvantages of doing the plan • War, Global Warming, Economic Collapse etc.

  6. The 2AC • Responds to the 1NC • Explains why the negative is wrong and the affirmative is right • Names the advantages of doing the plan.

  7. The 2NC and the 1st Negative Rebuttal • A.K.A “The Negative Block” • The 2nd Negative Constructive responds to the 2AC • Explains their case • Bottom Line • Disproves Affirmative Rebuttal • Last Chance to win the judge • NO NEW ARGUEMENTS

  8. The Affirmative Rebuttal • The Last speech of a round • Opportunity to make a lasting impact • Make your evidence sound irrefutable (undenyable) • Tell the judge why voting for you is the best choice
