  2. The Bastille was a prison in Paris known as Bastille Saint Antoine and as many other. The storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789 marked the beginning of the French Revolution. The event was celebrated one year later by the Fête de la Fédération. Bastille is a French word meaning "castle" or "stronghold". The Bastille

  3. Blood thirsty mob made up Parisians like the national guard and the lower classes, made up of around 600-1000 (insurgents) . They were looking for prisoners and weapons to fight in the battle against foreign troops that was said were coming to massacre them. 1)The attackers of the Bastille were French citizens

  4. Stormed the gates quickly since guards left their posts long before. The warden wanted to escape peacefully . When the mob arrived it required weapons from the soldiers to resist the rumored invaders. During the fight 98 casualties happened , but they eventually pressed through and over ran the Bastille. After that they took René de Launay outside and decapitate him along with the guards. 2) During the storming they killed soldiers of the Bastille

  5. The Beginning of the fall of the king. Start of the revolution . Freed 7 prisoners. Today it is a national holiday celebrated on 14 July the anniversary of the storming was seen as a symbol of the uprising. 3) This action symbolizes a revolution
