  4. Facts about DeRidder The city of DeRidder is primarily located in Beauregard Parish. A portion of DeRidder extends into Vernon Parish. Time Zone: DeRidder lies in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight savings time. At the time of the 2000 Census, DeRidder had a population of 9,808 people. This represented 0.22% of the total population of Louisiana, making it the state's 40th most populous community. From the Census estimates<1> for 2006, DeRidder had a population of 10,115 people. This is an increase of 3.13% since the 2000 Census. The following table contains the population changes since the last Census (the next Census will be in 2010). The population counts for the years after 2000 are estimates (we have more details on the DeRidder Census page). • DeRidder is 200 feet [60.96 m] above sea level.
