Judy Meagher’s Background • Master Gardener • Master Naturalist • Member of Texas Master Gardeners Association, Dallas County Master Gardeners Association, White Rock Lake Park Gardens • Volunteered with The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens • 4 year volunteer with TDG (Current) • Greatest Challenge: Judy does not have any challenges because she loves her job and contribution to TDG as a volunteer.

  3. TDG Improvements • Management structure, hierarchy of authority. • Overall attitude of staff members and to establish a team oriented workplace. • Communication and support of volunteers by staff. • Recognition of volunteer’s efforts and roles.

  4. Suggestions • Expansion of the educational department • Development of more classes and workshops • Implementation of classes into their educational program • Open greenhouse to the public. • House native species of butterflies relevant to environment

  5. TDG in Three • Staff members evolving into a more welcoming and helpful demeanor. • Increase in membership and customers • Focus more on the uniqueness of TDG • Equip visitors with the ability to apply what they have learned.

  6. Revenue Stimulation • Collective marketing • Heavy event promotion • Increasing TDG plant sales • Utilizing the vacant land • Selling seeds generated on-site • Return butterfly house to native butterflies
