Tevatron Startup Activities. September 4, 2009. Cryo Status. All houses at LN2 temps except D1 and E1 (room temp). E1 and D1 are signed off for cooldown. CHL has full load of helium. Cryo system has been fighting hydrocarbon contamination problems in E, F and A sectors (Pbar too).

Cryo Status • All houses at LN2 tempsexcept D1 and E1 (room temp). • E1 and D1 are signed off for cooldown. • CHL has full load of helium. • Cryo system has been fighting hydrocarbon contamination problems in E, F and A sectors (Pbar too). • Serious controls issue where all cold cathodes in a house may read nearly equal good values.

  3. Tunnel Work • Tunnel work is mostly complete. • F-sector Electrical walkthroughs done Thursday. • Rest of Walkthroughs will be done soon. • Stacking D0 shielding blocks Tuesday. • Lowpot looks good – Hipot when full of liquid helium.

  4. Beam Preparation • DFG file will be only slightly modified from last store. • New Automatic Injection closure aggregate will probably be ready for startup. • Startup activities should consist of just general tune up and measurements. • Seperator turn on and conditioning progressing.
