  2. What tells you more about a person… • Their address? OR • Their job?

  3. What is your niche?

  4. What defines an organism’s niche? • Where it lives • What it eats • What eats it • How it reproduces • What nutrients it needs • Range of tolerance • Range of movement • Interactions • Role it plays (producer, consumer, scavenger, etc.)

  5. Examples • Where does an oak tree live? • What role does an oak tree play in the ecosystem?

  6. Backwards Facts • Play “20 questions” about your niche to define who you are. • Yes or no questions only • No structural questions (Am I bigger than a dog?, Do I look like…?)

  7. NICHE NARRATIVE Use Vocabulary words from section 4.6 & 4.7 to write a creative story based on: 1. your ecosystem bottle OR 2. your imaginary fish • ½ point for every word used: MUST have 15 • ½ point for a clear definition/explanation of word (must also have 15) • 3 points for creativity • 2 points for grammar and spelling
