VAT number: 42403012397 Legal address: 22 Rigas Street, Rezekne, LV- 4601, Latvia Year of foundation: 2001 Work field: meat processing and packaging Number of employees: 405 The annual turnover: 28103168 EUR «Rezekne Meat Factory» Ltd. was founded in the year 2001 and now ranks the second place in Latvia by the finished production volume.

  3. The description of the field • Full cycle meat processing company; • Own slaughterhouse and boning facility; • Facilities meet the requirements of EU; • The high quality of raw materials and finished products; • Wide and varied assortment; • Product visibility; • A wide distribution coverage.

  4. History and development 2001–establishement of the company; ~ 25 employees; Assortment consists of about 20 products. The first customers - retail partners in Rezekne, the most important customers – stores Rimi, Maxima. 2002 - implementation of HACCP system. 2004 - "Rezekne meat factory" Ltd. was awarded with prize "Gazele" as fastest growing company in Latvia. 2006 - after the modernization process, company has turned into all EU compliant manufacturing facility with a modern slaughterhouse. 2008 - Raznas cooked sausage was awarded as «Favorite product in RIMI store’s meat production group». 2009– beginning of the canned product production. Result – increased range of assortment, as well as volume of exported production. 2010- company started to produce cold-smoked sausages. 2010-2011 – company opened a plant in Pinki in order to produce frozen products and dumplings.

  5. 2011 - Alkšņu scalded sausages got award «Product of the year in Latvia». 2011 - "Rezekne meat factory" Ltd. firstly started collaboration with Latvian Medical Association and produced product series without the E 2012 September - during the "Riga food 2012” exhibition, Rezekne meat factory received award Valetudo Patria from Latvian Medical Association for the investment in strengthening the health of Latvian population. 2013 May - Doctor sausage "Augstākālabuma" and Cervelat "Alkšņu" got award "Product of the year 2012 in Latvia". 2014 June – Scalded pork sausages «Extra», Sausages «Viennese» and an Alder smoked sausage got award «Product of the year 2013 in Latvia» 2015–company got Certificates: ISO 9001:2008; ISO 22000:2005. Started certification process to get BRC Certificates.

  6. «Rezekne Meat Factory» Ltd. - today • Rezekne Meat Factory is employer for 405 workers; • Largest employer and taxpayer in the Rezekne district; • The company is producing 13 production groups; • Assortment includes more than 300 positions; • Products are exported to countries such as Germany (ethnic stores in cooperation with Monolith), Russia (before embargo), Lithuania, Estonia, Great Britain (the main partner - Lithuanica), Ireland (partners - Maxella), Greece; • The company is constantly working on the new product development.
