  1. Science goals and requirements for high-energy Astrophysics missions and experiments“HEARME” Luigi Piro IstitutoAstrofisicaSpazialeFisicaCosmica INAF, Rome Luigi Piro - HEARME, AHEAD

  2. Goals • Networking Activity (NA2) in AHEAD • Foster collaborations in HEA European space to increase flight opportunities • Define goals and requirements for HE missions and experiments in the context of bi/multilateral european collaborations • Select the mission/experiments to be assessed at the System Design Facility every year Luigi Piro - HEARME, AHEAD

  3. How • Activity not overlapping with ESA (mid/large) and National programs • Target to experiments/missions to be carried out within bi/multilateral programs with at least two European participants • Goals and Req.s derived taking into account: • Astronet, ESA CV, and National Plans • Community driven, through workshop organization and science working groups • the class of the experiments Luigi Piro - HEARME, AHEAD

  4. HEARME Structure Hearme board: Hearme coordinator, AHEAD Steering Committee, SysDef Coordinator, SWG chairs Astronet,ESA,Nat.lplan Doc.s SYSDEF Proposals Workshops SWG 1 SWGN Science community Luigi Piro - HEARME, AHEAD

  5. Activities • Organize a science workshop per year • Advise by science working groups each by 4-5 experts • Evolution of Large scale structures • Evolution of star to galaxies • Extreme physics in Galactic and Extragalactic sources • …. • Define Goals and Requirements • Receive proposals and Select experiments / mission for System Definition Studies Luigi Piro - HEARME, AHEAD

  6. Budget per year • Board meeting (1 per year): 20keuro • SWG meetings (1 per year per WG): 40 keuro • Workshop organization (1 per year): 30 keuro • Secretarial support, web: 20 keuro • General expenses: 10 keuro • Tot 120keuro/year Luigi Piro - HEARME, AHEAD
