  2. History • Creative Visions Social Services is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization. The organization began serving clients in June of 1997 and obtained our 501 (c)(3) status September of 1998.

  3. MISSION STATEMENT • To engage youth by providing leadership skills and opportunities for self-sufficiency. VISION STATEMENT Elevating youth to believe and achieve a vision for success . POSITION STATEMENT • Youth Development advocate and community service provider for leaders of the future

GOALS ■To promote youth development opportunities and activities that center on supporting education for youth as well as empowering them to help themselves • To actively engage youth in their own development by providing programs and services that promote positive youth development • To develop partnership for positive youth development • To promote healthy youth development as a worldwide priority • To provide opportunities for young people to be involved in service learning experiences in the school and community

GOALS CONT’D • To provide opportunities for multicultural/multigenerational activities in the school and community • To encourage, organize and promote inter-agency activities, events and programs for youth • To provide opportunities for youth to develop self-knowledge, self-confidence and leadership skills • To support parents and communities in promoting youth development

OBJECTIVES • Develop strong partnerships between youth and adults by including youth and adults on program planning and implementation • Develop leadership and citizenship skills in youth • Provide programming to increase youth life skills (e. g. decision making, public speaking, ethical awareness, self-esteem, critical thinking, proactive coping, inquiry, self-understanding, responsibility, leadership, and team work) • Provide youth with opportunities to participate in internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing, and/or youth-adult career mentoring opportunities

OBJECTIVES CONT’D • Coordinate and implement activities for youth to explore future opportunities (e.g. careers, education, entrepreneurship, business) and/or exploration of work aptitude, styles, and preferences • Promote collaborative relationships among underserved audiences, service providers, and the broader community • Develop opportunities for youth from underserved audiences will develop life skills that will assist them in reaching their potential • Increase the effectiveness of service delivery to adolescents and their families

TRAINING & WORKSHOPS Training & Workshops focus on conferences & workshops that provide technical knowledge and hands on skills training, leadership development, career exploration, job training skills for youth that can empower them to develop as well as increase personal and professional life skills

  13. CONFERENCES & SEMINARS • We are committed to serving individual and community needs, and to provide and develop quality activities for youth, adults and neighborhoods that are safe, educational, and meaningful. Activities promote educational and youth development.

  17. SPECIAL EVENTS • ESSAY CONTEST Essay Contest for local Junior and Senior students through out the Dallas/ Fort Worth metroplex. High School Junior and Senior students provided a 500 word essay on the topic Recognizing Achieving YouthServices "RAYS “ Recognize the achievements of youth in the areas of Leadership Development •Community Involvement •Recognition •Achievement
