  3. Objective • Make science fun and relevant • Teach students how to DO science • Understand Earth systems, natural hazards, natural resources, and climate • Some health topics – hygiene, emotional health, safety

  4. Technology • Google apps for collaboration, presentation. • Video production

  5. Textbook • Keep at home • Reading and Note Taking Guide will not be given out in my class

  6. Three important websites • Teacher site–Homework, agenda, notebook table of contents, calendar • Parent Portal on Infinite Campus-Grades • PearsonSuccessNet.com – Online textbook, self-assessment, animated activity, videos, worksheets User Name: bkearthsci Password: fallon6

  7. Weighted Grading Test score can be improved -between80% -70% can make corrections -below 70% can retake the test

  8. Homework • 2 to 3 times a week • Graded on completion/accuracy • Late work receives 70% credit

  9. Look out for • Lab Safety Contract • Donation Letter ($10 contribution payable to Fallon School/Science Club or consumable items)
