  4. But how do you choose the right cabinet for your flammables?

  5. Here are some things you need to consider...

  6. 1. Determine Where the Cabinet Will Be Used • Where you use the cabinet is important. Outdoor storage buildings work well for bulk storage of flammable liquids. • But a storage cabinet can help you keep smaller amounts at a location closer to where you’re using them.

  7. Make Sure the Cabinets Meet Construction and Design Requirements • Cabinets Meeting OSHA and NFPA 30 Construction and Design Requirements would be good. • Having an independent third-party certification such as Factory Mutual Global (FM) or Underwriters Laboratory (UL) also ensures that the cabinet has passed rigorous testing.

  8. 3. Determine the Class or Category Your Liquids Fall Into • Know all the details and properties of the liquid before choosing the storage cabinet. • Look on the SDS to find the flash point and boiling point for each liquid so you can segregate them and only store compatible materials in the same cabinet.

  9. 4. Find a Reliable Storage Provider • Do your research and find a reliable flammable liquid storage provider so that you won’t have to worry much. • Ask others for recommendation and check online.

  10. Thank You!
