  2. Today’s Modern Fisheries a complicated system >> a bigger risk a big risk >> the need for a good controlling system a good controlling system >> Reliability Quick response, User Friendliness

  3. Problems we Face • Control: * Complex Systems - built from many small independent units working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. * Delays in error notification. * Unreliable Equipment - affected by age, water etc. * Lack of relevant information. * Large Production complex.

  4. Problems we Face • Information: * Underwater visual contact with fish is NOT feasible Delays in diagnosis of diseases. * Data such as Oxygen & Temperature readings, NO2, NH3, ph etc. is NOT available.

  5. Problems we Face • Follow Up: Our systems make heavy use of Resources: We must control our expense of: *Water *Electricity * Food

  6. Problems we Face • The Small Problem * Is our growth optimal? * Is our business efficient? * Are we wasting our resources?

  7. Problems we Face • The BIG PROBLEM A breakdown in our systems could cause a malfunction leading to an ECONOMIC CATASTROPHE ARE WE PREPARED FOR SUCH A SITUATION?

  8. So . . . Wouldn’t it be better working as PROs?

  9. Let’s work with a System that… * Reliable, flexible and low-cost infrastructure * Displays Online Information * Helps us Decide – By using IntegratedGraphs * Self Operating – Immediate Response * Multiple user interfaces – Internet, Wireless LAN, SMS

  10. Oxygen Trend Analysis - OTA Creating an Oxygen Trend Analysisgraph, giving the breeder earlier notice of the behavior of the oxygen in the pool. (in days) Graph range: years/months/days Graph parameters: Oxygen, Temperature and Daily feed portion.

  11. Oxygen Trend Analysis A B

  12. Feed Tracking Exact food supply using electronic sensorsthat weigh the silo contents.

  13. Using Wireless Internet Communication

  14. SMS Server * Full-Time Control via your Mobile-Phone. * Receiving Alarms & Reports * Remote System Operation by sending text codes * Weekly Scheduler

  15. SMS Server Receiving FAULT Reseting FAULT

  16. Main Menu using Explorer * Operations, Alarms and Errors shown On-line * Real-Time Oxygen & Temperature Readings * Feeding Data – per Portion per Day * Centralized information from scattered units.

  17. Coming next… FISHdotNET application running on PDA– Pocket pc

  18. And NOW…

  19. FISHdotNET Advantages ► Always Connected * Machine to Machine Connection – Internet, Wireless overcoming the distance between the units. * Man to Machine Connection – Internet, Sms ►Tailored technological solutions – wyniwyg what you need is what you get ►Systemexpandingflexibility
