  4. Before You LaunchThis section contains a few suggestions on items to consider before launching the Zerista platform to attendees.

  5. Highlight Exhibitors & Sponsors • Replace the generic schedule icon for events with sponsor logos! • Use the Zerista sponsorship levels to highlight key sponsors and partners. • Include the logo of your primary sponsor in your main web banner or App footer banner. • Talk with your sales representative to include a splash screen with sponsor information. • Send a broadcast message to all attendees, thanking a specific sponsor.

  6. Trick Out Your Web Homepage The center column of the web homepage can communicate tons of information. It excepts most HTML code, so let your imagination go wild!

  7. Go Green While Sharing More Zerista fully supports going green, and making Zerista THE place where attendees can find information will help increase usage! Some things to consider: • Try not printing a program guide, and referencing people to your Zerista site for event information. • You no longer need printed exhibition maps, people can access information about exhibitors and their location on your apps. • Prost presentation materials for attendees to access from the website. You no longer need to print out presentation materials or provide them on a CD. Give it a try!

  8. More Ways to Reach Out • Post a comment on the chatter page. • Have your event staff add the sessions they are attending so they display in the Who is attending section of a session. • Create a few conversations prior to inviting attendees to show them how it is done! Conversations can be specific to the purpose of the event or more casual, such a ride shares or morning runs. • Include links on your event website, newsletters, and emails to the Zerista website and apps in the iTunes and Google Play stores.

  9. Track Attendees Usage The Zerista statistics pages can highlight the functionality your users appreciate. To get the full picture, please provide us with your Google Analytics code. You can get additional information, such as number of page hits and average time spent on the site.

  10. Launching & Sending Invitations Are you ready to launch? Launching is different for each customer. • Customers with the full Zerista platform (web, mobile web, and native apps) tend to launch the website while waiting approval of the Apple app. • Some customers launch the website immediately after the site is skinned, while still loading session information. • Consider a rolling launch. Send invitations to internal staff to get use to the platform. Then invite exhibitor contacts so they can update their company profile prior to attendees joining the site. Finally send invitations to speakers and attendees. We do suggest launching your site at least 4 weeks prior to the event.

  11. After You LaunchSet a target adoption rate. Adoption rates for events implementing the Zerista platform for the first time, range from 30%-50%.

  12. Sending Reminders Create a plan on how often to send reminders. In our experience, the more reminders you send, the higher the usage by attendees. Some suggestions for sending reminders. • If you are launching months ahead of the event, send invitations once a month. • Within a month of the event, send reminders once a week. • Send a reminder the day/night before the event. Note: When you send a reminder, the system checks to see if an attendee has received a reminder or invitation in the last 2 days. If they have, the system does not send that attendee a reminder.

  13. Promoting at the Event At the event, there are a couple things you can do to remind people about the Zerista platform. • Provide signs with QR codes and links to the Google Play and Apple iTunes stores. • Mention the app in your introductory session/welcome session.

  14. Some Examples We have created a few examples that you may like to customize for your event and share with your attendees. You can view our examples at http://dev.zerista.com/examples-for-conference-moderators/

  15. Thank Your Attendees Don’t forget to thank your attendees after the event and remind them that the website and apps will be up for several months for them to continue networking. You can do this by updating your Zerista homepage, tweeting, and sending out a broadcast message using the system.
